Behind the Screens:

Gopichand who made a comeback with his Loukyam movie in 2014 is back to the flops with his next back to back films – Jil and Soukhyam. Two of his films – Oxygen and Aaradugula Bullet are struggling to release due to some problems. So hero keeping all his hopes on Goutham Nanda movie. Let us see how the movie??

Story-line:

Ghattamaneni Goutham (Gopichand) is the only son of a big shot billionaire (Sachin Khedkar). All the days he is enjoying with his friends in foreign countries. But then, one day he gets the question of what he is without his father. To get an answer, he changes his position with Nanda (Gopichand), a poor guy who has a starking resemblance to Goutham. While Goutham learns the value of life in Nanda’s house, Nanda turns greedy in Goutham’s place. What happens next in the story forms the rest.

ధనం మూలం ఇదం జగత్...

Performances:

Gopichand who has the image of a Mass Action Hero is convincing in a Stylish Avatar. He completely stylish in Ghattamaneni Goutham's role. He managed to bring good variations in both the characters. He did a decent job in emotional sequences too.

Catherine Tresa is resticted to glamor scenes. Hansika is seen in a limited screen space and is okay in normal girl looks. Mukesh Rishi and Nikithan Theer are okay. Sachin Khedkar, Chandramohan, and Seetha are good in the roles.

Analysis:

As a story writer, Sampath Nandi succeeded. But as a director he was disappointed. He chose a good storyline but did not executed up to the mark. Gopichand’s Stylish Makeover deserves applause. He repeated the same mistake as previous cases by concentrating on grandeur and styling with out proper concentration on story execution. The movie has an interesting storyline but the revenge plot is very weak. The twists in the movie are good.

Technical Values:

SS Thaman’s songs are okay but the background score is good. Soundar Rajan’s cinematography is very good. With his camera work movie got rich look. Editing should have been better and editor had chance to cut few scenes in the film. Lavish and rich look to movie due to extraordinary production values.

Thumbs Up:

-Production Values

-Rich look

-Stroy Line

Thumbs Down:

-Story execution

-Parts of the scenes

Final Verdict:

Goutham Nanda movie is "High Emphasis on Style and grandeur, Low on Substance".

If director Sampath nandi concentrates more on story execution than grandeur look then it would be good film.

Bottom line: Old wine in new bottle.

Tingin: 145 minutes

Release Date: July 21st, 2017

Behind the Screens:

Mega Prince Varun Tej don't have much needed commercial success in his career so far except for an average result with Kanche. His last film, Mister is one of the biggest disasters of the year posing a serious threat to the actor’s career. Varun Tej kept all his hopes on his todays release Fida a. Let us see how the movie??

Story line:

Bhanumati (Sai Pallavi) and her sister Renuka are living happly in a village near Banswada, Nizamabad district in Telangana state. Raju (Raja Chembolu), an NRI  visits Renuka’s house along with his younger brother Varun (Varun Tej). Raju likes Renuka and as they prepare for marriage, a separate love track begins between Varun and Bhanumati. How their love story progresses? What is the conflict that comes between them and how it is resolved? forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Varun Tej has put up a natural performance as an NRI and a true lover. But still he needs to concentrate on body language. One of the biggest assets to this film is Heroine Sai pallavi. Naturally she acted and totally involved in her role. She will win some best debut actress awards this year for sure. Her own dubbing with Telangana accent is another plus point. She looks naturally throughout the film without much makeup. Sirivennala sitha rama sastry’s son, Raja Chambolu is adequate. Saranya Pradeep is good as Sai Pallavi’s sister. Rest of the characters are okay in their roles.

Analysis:

Sekhar Kammula has made a heart-warming love story with middle-class sensibilities. He came up with strong female characters. Varun Tej has a winner in hand and Sekhar Kammula is back with bang. His direction, screenplay and narration are too good. His way of dealing for this story is soo nice.

Technical Values:

Shashi Kanth's music is good. Songs are soulful. They are picturized very well. Back ground score is too good. Special mention to Vijay C Kumar for his camera work. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is decent. Telangana slang Dialogues are good. The Production Values by Sri Venkateswara Creations are grand.

Thumbs up:

- Sai pallavi

- Direction

- First half

- Emotional scenes

- Narration

Thumbs down:

- Few dragged moments in second half

Final Verdict:

Fidaa is a Fresh and Breezy entertainment movie loaded with good humor, love, emotions and nice songs which will appeal to the youth audience.

Sekhar Kammula is back to his stronghold middle-class sensibilities and subtle romance touching the right emotions.

The first half is thoroughly enjoyable to all the classes of the audience with the marriage scene and love story in other track. There are minor issues in the second half like pace dropping midway but the film will give a very good feel over all.

Strongly recommend to watch this movie in the theaters. Just go and watch you will love it and you may like to watch again!!!

Behind the Screens:

Young Heroes – Sundeep Kishan, Sudheer Babu, Nara Rohit, and Aadi are joining hands for one film in the direction of Sriram Aditya, previously he directed ‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ with sudheer babu. All the actors have high hopes on this film. Let us see how the movie Shamanthakamani is??

Among those who attended the party that night are Shiva (Sundeep Kishan), Karthik (Aadhi) and Car mechanic ( Rajendra Prasad) and are in the suspicious candidates list. What happens next in Ranjith’s investigation to find the car Samanthakamani forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

All the four heroes – Sudheer Babu, Sundeep Kishan, Nara Rohit, and Aadi have put good efforts to perform well in their roles. Sudheer Babu is good and acted well in emotional sequences. Nara Rohit walks through the character of a unconventional police officer. Sundeep Kishan is okay as a innocent guy. Aadi is okay in lover boy role.Rajendra Prasad is good but his love story with indraja is awkward. Tanikella Bharani and Suman were okay in their roles. Chandini Chowdary, Indraja and Annanya Soni have got limited characters. They don't have much scope to perform. Raghu karumanchi delivered few laughs here and there. Rest of characters are okay in their roles.

Analysis:

‘Bhale Manchi Roju’ fame Sriram Aditya came up with a Crime Thriller in his second attempt. Crime Thrillers need to entertain the viewers and keep them guessing. But mostly the story is predictable. Sriram Aditya will get decent marks as a director even though there are some faults. Dealing with four heroes in 2 & half hours movie is some what tricky as the director. He failed to give them enough space to create an impact.

Technical Values:

Music director Mani Sharma's back ground score is big asset to the film. Cinematographer Sameer Reddy's camera work is impressive. Especially Night Mode scenes are good. Few dialogues are good. Editing is okay. Production Values are good.

Thumbs Up:

- 2nd half

- Mani Sharma's BGM

- Camera work

Thumbs down:

- First half

- Parts of scenes

- Predictable narration

Final verdict:

Samanthakamani is decent crime thriller yet predictable narration.

The first half is boring but the second half is interesting with a good number of twists.

Overall, Time pass crime thriller.

Quite a long time of 2 years since we had seen Sridevi on silver screen. Now she came back with movie MOM. Let us see how the movie is??

Story-Line:

Devki Sabharwal (Sridevi), a biology teacher and one who leads her happy life with her husband and two daughters. Out of her two daughters, one is step-daughter named aarya. There are acceptability issues between the two.

Devki reprimands her student Mohit when he sends his classmate Arya an objectionable video clip. On Valentine’s Day, Arya goes with her classmates to a party in a farmhouse where she rejects Mohit’s offer to dance with him. And that moment mohit's gang brutally rapped Aarya in one car and soon finds herself hospitalised. A police case ensues and after the investigators fail to deliver Arya justice, Devki takes the reins in her hands. This forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

This is Sridevi’s three hundredth film. She gave mesmerizing performance especially when she knows her daughter rapped by someone and in climax.

National award winning actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the private detective Dayashankar Kapoor aka DK, with an interesting get-up initially seems walking through his character. But over a period, you realise that his efforts are worth a mention.

Akshaye Khanna is okay in the one-dimensional role of Mathew Samuel, the investigating crime branch officer. He has nothing much to perform.

Sajal Ali as Arya, delivers her part well in limited scenes.Adnan Siddiqui as Devki’s husband Anand Sabharwal, doesn't had scope to perform much. Rest of characters are okay in their roles.

Analysis:

Director Ravi Udaywar handled revenge story very well. He handled emotional scenes well.

Technical Values:

Music director A.R. Rahman gave brilliant music and back ground score and is haunting and is easily one of the highlights of the film. Cinematographer Anay Goswami’s frames are glossy. Dialogues are good jn parts.Production values are good. The film is made on a low budget but looks rich.

Thumbs up:

- Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui

- Treatment

- BGM

- Climax

Thumbs down:

- Runtime

- Parts of scenes

Final verdict:

MOM is a pretty revenge drama film which comes from great actors Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

The first half is going decent way and second half has some gripping scenes.

Rendu Rellu Aaru Movie Review

Movie:      Rendu Rellu Aaru

Cast: Anil, Mahima, Naresh, Ravi Kaale, Thagubothu Ramesh and Others

Story, Screenplay, Direction: Nandu Mallela

Producer: Pradeep Chandra and A.mohan

Music: Vijay Bulganin

Cinematographer: Amarnath Reddy

Editor: Janaki Rama Rao P

Banner: Day Dream Productions

Presented by: Sai Korrapati (Varahi Chalana Chitram)

Censor certificate: U

Runtime : 134.45 minutes

Release Date: July 8th, 2017

Watched at Mallikarjuna theater, Kukatpally

Behind the Screens

Producer Sai Korrapati who produced eega, manamantha, andala rakshasi films earlier now he came with yet another small movie, Rendu Rellu Aaru. The audience has the expectations of good films coming from Varahi Banner. Rendu Rellu Aaru release today in both the Telugu States. Let’s see how the movie is??

Story-line:

The wives of Raju (Naresh) and Rao (Ravi Kaale) deliver at the same time in a same hospital.  Raju gets a Male Child, Maddy (Anil) while Rao gets a Female, Maggi (Mahima). But their babies have rare disease. In a compelling situation, they had to exchange their babies. But for the love of their own children, they decide to stay in the same colony. Maddy and Mahima grow like a Tom and Jerry. While they always fight with each other, one day they fall in love all of sudden. How did they change is the actual story.

Performances:

Anil and Mahima are the newcomers who played the lead roles in the movie. They struggled to carry the story on their hands. Rendu Rellu Aaru is totally dependent on the two characters and needed to have them deliver impactful performance. The romantic track or the emotions did not work much. Naresh and Ravi Kaale have come up with an impressive performance as parents. Thagubothu Ramesh’s Comedy in the second half worked very well. Rest of characters are okay in their roles.

Analysis:

Director Naresh Mallela came up with a novel point based story and he should be appreciated but failed to execute it perfectly. A better cast in the lead pair may have worked in his favour. The story normally should have a tragic climax but the new director has avoided it intelligently. The emotional sequences involving both the fathers as they exchange their babies, the struggle when they could not own their own babies and the struggle they undergo when their love stories are revealed are interesting. The comedy track on the serial hero and Thagubothu Ramesh track are good.

Technical Values:

Music by Vijay Bulganin is a big asset for this movie. Songs picturization is okay. Cinematography gave a short film feel.  Editing should be better if editor concentrates on second half especially. Few dialogues are good like " 'Nenu' anukune vallani kalapalani kovadam entha thappoo...'Memu' anukune vallanu vidadiyyanukovadam kuda anthe thappu... "

"Kastalu vachinappudu bandhalunu vidadiyyela undakudadu kalipela undali"

Production Values are okay.

Thumbs up:

- Story

- Music

- First half

Thumbs down:

- Dragged second half

- Lead cast

- Parts of scenes

Final Verdict:

Rendu Rellu Aaru movie has good novel point but director failed to impress with hus taking.

The first half has the novelty things go wayward in the second half as the director could not contain the excitement of the audience. The climax is good.

Performances:

The entire story revolves around Nani, Aadi, and Niveda Thomas. All 3 actors are perfectly fit into their respective roles.  Once again Nani proved that he is capable of pulling perfect emotions, humor and seriousness in one role. He just amazed with his screen presence. Aadi pinisetty settled in serious role. He just lived in his role. He just awesome in climax sequences. Niveda Thomas impressed with her beauty and acting. Prudhvi, Sudharshan  are good in the roles.

Analysis:

Debut Director Shiva Nirvana has came up with emotional entertainer.  He got average marks in his first attempt. He should be appreciated for some effective emotion sequences in the film. Kona Venkat has handled the screenplay very well.  Second half runs at a slow pace. Some of the scenes were heart touching. The director had given importance to the emotions. While watching this movie, you will remind many movies from bollywood and tollywood like Rajarani , Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam etc.

Technical Values:

Gopi Sunder’s music is very impressive. Songs are in sync with story narration. 'Adiga Adiga' and 'Unnatundi gundey' songs are too good. BGM is soo cool. Karthik Ghattamaneni’s camera work is good . Dialogues at few situations are good. Editing is okay but editor had scope to trim few scenes in second half. Production Values are good.

Thumbs Up:

- Lead actors performances

- Soulful music

- Screenplay

- Emotions

Thumbs down:

- Few dragged moments

Final verdict:

‘Ninnu Kori’ is an emotional entertainer. And it's looks like extended version of super hit movie Raja Rani.

Unlike normal regular triangular love stories, this story happens after marriage. ‘Life gives several chances. Give the life one chance’ is the concept of the story.

The first half of the film is good but the proceedings become little bit slow. Second half is filled with emotions.

Recommended to watch this movie.
