Censor certificate: UA
Runtime:122 minutes
Release Date: June 30th, 2017
Watched at Anna theater, Mehdipatnam

Behind the Screens:

Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister, Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s son, Ravi is making his filmy debut with a Police Drama titled ‘Jayadev’ which was directed by Jayanth C Paranji who delivered super hits Preminchukundam Raa, Bavagaru Bagunnara, Premante Idera, Eeshwar, Lakshmi Narasimha, Shankar Dada MBBS etc earlier. Debutant Ravi had pinned high hopes on the film to make his mark in the film industry. Let us see how the movie is??

Story-line:

Jayadev (Ganta Ravi) is an honest Police Officer in Dosakayala Palli. A Police Officer Sriram (Ravi Prakash) gets killed and Jayadev is made in-charge of the case. It will be revealed that Sriram is killed for nailing down a goon, Masthan Babu (Vinod Kumar). Rest of the story is all about how Jayadev brings Masthan Babu behind the bars and do justice to Sriram’s family.

Performances:

Ganta Ravi is okay in action sequences. He should work on his looks. He needs to work out for rest of things like emotional, comic and humor scenes. He needs to improve his expressions. Since it is his first film, we may give him just pass marks. Heroine Malavika Raaj is limited for songs only. Vinod Kumar gets a crucial role after a long time and he is not apt to that role. Vennela Kishore, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Theenmar Satti, Ravi Prakash, and Siva Reddy are okay in the roles.

Analysis:

Director Jayanth C Paranji failed in all aspects. His screenplay and direction are bad. He failed with the bad story execution. The movie seems to be inspired by Tamil film, ‘Sethupathy’. The director tried to stay as honest as possible to that. The love track is badly handled. Some of the scenes which speak about the greatness of the police department have come out well. He failed to get good performances from artists.

Technical Values:

Mani Sharma’s music is total disappoint. Background score is impressive. Jawahar Reddy's camera work is just okay. Editor Marthand K Venkatesh had a chance to trim few scenes in the first half especially. Fights composition is good. The Production Values of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Art Creations look very good.

Thumbs up:
- Preclimax

Thumbs Down:
- Hero
- Bound Script
- Direction
- Bad execution
- Music

Final Verdict:
JayaDev film is all about powerful cop story.
The first half is nothing to offer. Sriram’s murder and the incidents that follow it are a bit interesting. The second half of the film is very boring with nothing interesting. Preclimax is good.
Strickly skip this movie.

Behind the Screens:
Aadi Pinnisetty is a Telugu actor who is more famous in Tamilnadu. However, he is struggling to show his mark as the hero in Telugu states for a long time. With Oka Vichitram and Vaishali movies, he recognized by Telugu audience very well. He recently impressed as a villain in Sarainodu. He is trying to impress the audience as a hero once again with dubbing film, Marakathamani. Let us see how the movie??
Story-line:
Raghunandan (Aadi Pinnisetty) is bankrupt and he is doing small smuggling activities with his friends to come out of the debt trap. One fine day, he gets an offer of 10 Crore from a China man to get ‘Marakathamani’. But then, Marakathamani has the history of killing those who touches it. But Raghunandan is hell bent on getting it. Rest of the story is if he succeeds in this adventure and if he gets out of his debts.
Performances:
Aadi Pinnisetty for the first time has appeared in a full fun role and managed to pull it off effortlessly.Nikki Galrani, Gopi, and Ramdoss have got crucial roles. Especially ramboss killed the comedy scenes. Nikki Galrani has got a different role and she did a good job. The chemistry between the lead pair should have been handled well. Veteran villain Anand Raj is impressive as Don Twinkle Ramanadham. Rest of the characters are okay in their roles.

Analysis:
ARK Sarvanan the director has done a good job by selecting a good story with a novel concept. The screenplay is also impressive. The movie has a different concept and he made the movie with mixing of fun elements. Initially, the proceedings are slow but once the story begins, it will be a fun ride. There are instances of logic going for a toss but then, this kind of fantasy stories will have such exceptions.
Technical Values:
Dhibu Nainan Thomas's Music and PV Shankar Camera work have complimented the film. The dialogues in Telugu version could have been better Production Values are appropriate.

Thumbs Up:
- Concept
- Comedy
- Direction
- Cinematography

Thumbs Down:
- Few logics
- First 30 minutes

Final Verdict:
Marakathamani is a Decent Comedy Thriller. First half is okay and the movie is interesting once the characters are established. The second half is full of entertainment and humor. The hunt for Marakathamani and saving his life after getting that will be interesting. The Pre-Climax and Climax sequences are interesting keeping the audience engrossed.
Overall, the movie is one time watchable.

Kaadhali movie review

Movie: Kaadhali
Cast: Harish Kalyan, Sai Ronak, Pooja K Doshi, Sudharshan and Others

Story, Screenplay, Direction, and Dialogues: Pattabhi R Chilukuri
Producer: Pattabhi R Chilukuri
Music: Prasan Praveen Shyam
Cinematographer: Shekar V Joseph
Editor: Marthand K Venkatesh
Banner: Anganagana Film Company

censor certificate:
Runtime: 135.01 minutes
Release date: June 16th, 2017
watched at Amba theater, Mehdipatnam

Behind the Screens:
Kaadhali is one small film which has made so much of buzz in the recent times due to the promotions by celebrities like Rana, Samantha, Ram Charan and KTR. The audience is waiting to see if the promotions and buzz are really worth it or not. Let us see how the movie is??
Story-line:
Bandhavi (Pooja K Doshi) is a beautiful doctor for whom her parents seek a suitable man. But all their efforts end up in vain. Bandhavi decides to love someone and get married. She loves two men one after the other and both of them have peculiar characters. Karthik (Harish Kalyan) has this habit of leaving the house whenever he is happy or angry. Kranthi (Sai Ronak) is an angry young man. Both of them love Bandhavi honestly but had to go away from her due to their own weaknesses. What happens next between the three forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Pooja K Doshi is disappointing in a character which is the heart of the film. She struggled with her expressions and lip sync. Both the heroes – Harish Kalyan and Sai Ronak did an okay job but since the movie movies mostly around Pooja, the end result is not great. Sudarshan managed some laughs. Rest of the characters are just okay.

Analysis:
Director Pattabhi R Chilukuri got okay marks in his debut. He handled few characters well. The story is a triangular love story in which the girl struggles to choose between the two. We have seen many films with the same story. Treatment is very routine. Movie moves at a slow pace testing the patience of the audience. The entire story is finished in the first half as well. The director to make up for the run time just stuffed the second half with the songs which are again disappointing. Even the climax is very pale.
Technical Values:
Prasan Praveen Shyam 's music is good. Songs are also good and Vanamali’s lyrics are impressive. The Placement of songs is very bad. Cinematographer added extra odd colors. Senior Editor Marthand K Venkatesh should have done a better job in the second half. Production Values are rich.
Final Verdict:
Kaadhali is a triangular love story. Skip this routine stuff, if you can

How they finally win in love forms the rest of the story.

Performances:
Even though Adivi Sesh and Avasarala Srinivas are seen as the main leads of the film, it's Vennela Kishore’s show all over. He steals the show with his screen presence, body language, comic timings and cute expressions. Even though in serious scenes, he delivered comedy through his expressions. His walking style apt to his screen name Sri Chilipi. Adivi Sesh, Avasarala Srinivas are okay in their roles. Heroine Eesha Rabba stunningly opens up with her role. She performed extremely well in Telangana Pori character. Whereas second heroine Aditi is okay in her limited character.  Tanikella Bharani is superb in the father role. Rest of the characters supported the lead cast.

Analysis:
Indraganti Mohana Krishna who directed Grahanam, Astha Chamma, Golconda high school, GentleMan, Anthaku Mundu Aa Tharwatha, Bandipotu etc once again he enthralls the viewers with clean comedy. In the current world of vulgar and double-meaning comedy, he came up with a clean entertainer. He wrote Dialogues very well particularly for Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore characters. He does a good job as the director and writer for the film. But he struggled while introducing the characters in the first half with dragged narration.

Technical Values:
Mani Sharma’s music is good and whereas background score elevates the movie. PG Vinda’s camera work gives a rich feel to the movie. Marthand K Venkatesh’s Editing could have been better. He had a chance to trimming few scenes in first half. Production Values are good.

Thumbs Up:
- Vennala Kishore
- Comedy
- Pre-Climax
- Performances
- Dialogues

Thumbs Down:
- Dragged first half
- Predictable narration
- Logics in story

Final Verdict:
Ami Thumi is a laugh riot and one man army show by Comedian Vennala Kishore.
The movie takes its time to take off but once the characters are established, the film delivers clean comedy.
If you are absolutely okay with clean comedy without logics in the story, This movie is for you to entertain in just 2 hours.

Censor certificate: A
Runtime: 129.52 minutes
Release Date: June, 2nd, 2017
Watched at Shiva Parvathi theater, Kukatpally

Behind the Screens:
As we all, Sumanth Ashwin is Son of Senior and most successful Producer MS Raju. He entered into the industry a few years back, but still struggling to get the first hit of his career. In between, Kerintha is a decent film (Average) but that one is not helped to his career. He is teaming up with Senior Director Vamsi in the sequel of ‘Ladies Tailor’ – ‘Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor’ releasing this Friday. Let us see how the movie is??

Story-line:
Gopalam (Sumanth Ashwin) is a small tailor in a village. He is soo famous as a tailor in both Godavari districts. But he aspires to become a Fashion Designer. To make it happen, he traps a rich girl in the village but then two other girls Ammulu (Manali Rathod) and an NRI
(Anisha Ambrose) are in scene and Gopalam are after them. Rest of the story is all about what is in store for him between the two girls and his high ambitions.

Performances:
Sumanth Ashwin is okay in the role of a village tailor and he just apt to vamsi's hero. The three heroines – Anisha Ambrose, Manali Rathod, and Manasa do not have much scope to perform. They are limited to showcase their glamor. Pandu who is seen as his assistant is decent as well. Krishna Bhagwan's comedy worked well in some parts. Rest of the characters help to main lead.

Analysis:
Veteran director Vamsi is totally disappointing in his comeback but he showed his mark in the dialogues and Godavari ambiance. The screenplay is totally disappointing. Dragged narration tests the patience the viewers. The main theme is good but bounded script is not at all good. Some romantic scenes are irritating. Vamsi could have narrated the film simply but in this case, the film is loud and irritating with his narration and romantic scenes.

Technical Values:
Mani Sharma's music is decent. Background score is good. Director Vamsi showed his mark in songs picturization and special mention too. Nagesh Banell’s camera work is impressive. He showed the beauty of the Godavari with his lens. Editing could have been better. Editor Baswa Pydireddy had a chance to trim many scenes in the film. Dance moves are good. Production values are appropriate.

Thumbs Up:
- Cinematography
- Songs Picturization

Thumbs Down:
- Dragged narration
- Second half
- Screenplay
- Vulgar comedy
- Bad execution
- Editing

Final Verdict:
'Fashion Designer s/o Ladies Tailor' movie is a typical Vamsi film with Godavari sensibilities and slapstick comedy. Those worked big time in olden days but times have changed and so is the taste of the audience. Totally disappointing movie from Director Vamsi.
Fashion Designer is Outdated Village dropped Slapstick Comedy film. Skip this movie if you can.

He is more comfortable in comedy scenes than serious. He needs to work more on serious stuff. Hebah Patel gets a Glamour role yet again. The chemistry between them sizzled. Rajendra Prasad, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinder, Raja Ravindra and Jaya Prakash Reddy, Sudarshan are good in their roles.Rest of characters did their job well.
Analysis:
Successful Writer Veligonda Srinivas has turned director with this movie. He gets a decent score as a writer choosing a good story line but he is not fully successful in his debut direction attempt with some faults in the execution.
After watching the trailer, all will think that this one is serious film why because hero plays a blind man role. But Andhhagadu is different one which has comedy scenes. Director succeeded as story writer than the movie director.

Technical Values:
Sekhar Chandra's music is pretty average. None of the songs are registered. Background score is passable. B. Rajasekhar's camera work is not bad. He should more concentrate on his lens to showcase the beauty of Vishakapatnam. Editor MR Varma should have been more careful with his scissors to few scenes after first 30 minutes. Fights and dance moves are okay. Production Values of AK Entertainments are okay.

The second half is full of twists and turns. The second half is could have been better than this with the execution. The climax is predictable.
