Behind the Screens:
As we all, Sumanth Ashwin is Son of Senior and most successful Producer MS Raju. He entered into the industry a few years back, but still struggling to get the first hit of his career. In between, Kerintha is a decent film (Average) but that one is not helped to his career. He is teaming up with Senior Director Vamsi in the sequel of ‘Ladies Tailor’ – ‘Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor’ releasing this Friday. Let us see how the movie is??
Story-line:
Gopalam (Sumanth Ashwin) is a small tailor in a village. He is soo famous as a tailor in both Godavari districts. But he aspires to become a Fashion Designer. To make it happen, he traps a rich girl in the village but then two other girls Ammulu (Manali Rathod) and an NRI
(Anisha Ambrose) are in scene and Gopalam are after them. Rest of the story is all about what is in store for him between the two girls and his high ambitions.
Performances:
Sumanth Ashwin is okay in the role of a village tailor and he just apt to vamsi's hero. The three heroines – Anisha Ambrose, Manali Rathod, and Manasa do not have much scope to perform. They are limited to showcase their glamor. Pandu who is seen as his assistant is decent as well. Krishna Bhagwan's comedy worked well in some parts. Rest of the characters help to main lead.
Analysis:
Veteran director Vamsi is totally disappointing in his comeback but he showed his mark in the dialogues and Godavari ambiance. The screenplay is totally disappointing. Dragged narration tests the patience the viewers. The main theme is good but bounded script is not at all good. Some romantic scenes are irritating. Vamsi could have narrated the film simply but in this case, the film is loud and irritating with his narration and romantic scenes.
Technical Values:
Mani Sharma's music is decent. Background score is good. Director Vamsi showed his mark in songs picturization and special mention too. Nagesh Banell’s camera work is impressive. He showed the beauty of the Godavari with his lens. Editing could have been better. Editor Baswa Pydireddy had a chance to trim many scenes in the film. Dance moves are good. Production values are appropriate.
Thumbs Up:
- Cinematography
- Songs Picturization
Thumbs Down:
- Dragged narration
- Second half
- Screenplay
- Vulgar comedy
- Bad execution
- Editing
Final Verdict:
'Fashion Designer s/o Ladies Tailor' movie is a typical Vamsi film with Godavari sensibilities and slapstick comedy. Those worked big time in olden days but times have changed and so is the taste of the audience. Totally disappointing movie from Director Vamsi.
Fashion Designer is Outdated Village dropped Slapstick Comedy film. Skip this movie if you can.
